This year was the first year that Prospector rounds were issued with the Eagle on the reverse, with Engelhard producing both the Eagle reverse and the Large 'E' Logo reverse during 1984 (this round is the Eagle reverse type). This round shows an American Eagle on the reverse with the words 'ENGELHARD' and 'ONE TROY OUNCE 999+ FINE SILVER'. The front of the round shows an American Prospector panning for Gold the date 1984, U.S.A. and the words 'THE AMERICAN PROSPECTOR'.
These were minted in limited quantities and are no longer being manufactured, making for a collectable historic 1 troy ounce Fine Silver bullion round.
