First Coin released in the Royal Canadian Mint Predator series of 4 different Bullion Coins is the 2016 Canadian Silver Cougar. With limited mintage this coin is the first in what is sure to be a very collectable animal series.
Minted in .9999 pure Fine Silver depicting the fearsome predator the Cougar about to pounce and ambush its prey depicted by Canadian illustrator Emily Damstra, and the coin features her initials mark 'ED'. The printing CANADA 9999 and FINE SILVER 1OZ ARGENT PUR is shown around the fine radial lined background and fine detailed relief of the Cougar as well as the Maple Leaf Privy Mark micro-engraved '16' in the centre. The reverse of the coin shows Queen Elizabeth II head in relief by Susanna Blunt and words ELIZABETH II, 5 DOLLARS, D.G.REGINA 2016 against a radial lined background.
